Week of January 22-25

Tuesday:  Watch/Listen to "The Crucible" clip.  I have the link here.  Watch once, then listen again and take notes on the relationship between John and Elizabeth.

 You will use this Thursday and Friday to write a relationship analysis based on questions I give you.

Dialectical Journal:  Begin this today with "The Crucible."  If you were absent I'll explain when you return.

Wednesday:  Read "The Fence" and do the same as above.  Take notes about both sets of relationships.  Dialectical journal entries.

Thursday: Write a relationship analysis.  Choose one of the following prompts.

                     Analyze the relationship between John Proctor and his wife, Elizabeth.

                     Analyze the relationship between Kate and Maddie.

                     Analyze the relationship between Roger and Daniel.

                     Analyze the relationship between the two wives and their husbands.

   Write your introduction paragraph and your first body paragraph.

Friday:  "To be" verb lesson.  Circle all of the "to be" verbs in your analysis, and fix half of them.  

"To be" verbs are:  is, am, are, was, were, be, been, being
