Monday, February 18th: NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, February 19th:
Genre Connections Analysis, “Zombies.”
Read through the power point so you know what we are doing. Begin reading the articles.
Wednesday, February
20th: Genre Connections Analysis. Read two articles/stories and do an analysis. Follow the guidelines from the power point,
and make sure to fill in the graphic organizer too.
Information on writing your essay:
**Read both articles and fill out the graphic organizer
about similarities and differences. It
isn’t about the story itself, but the writing style, authors, or literary
elements. Look at the articles and
notice if you see anything similar about them.
Use this for your thesis. An
example would be: Both authors use first person point of view when writing in
order to allow the reader to connect with the work (I made that up, so youcannot use that). If that is your thesis you will then use that to compare and contrast the two pieces. It’s not about the articles, but how they are
written, or what they are saying.
**The format for your paper is as follows:
Introduction paragraph has the opening and thesis. Use the packet I gave you to
see how you should write.
Two body paragraphs: One can be how they are similar, one
can be how they are different. There
must be in text citations in these paragraphs.
Conclusion: Wrap up
the paper, and make sure to revisit the thesis without saying it exactly the
same
Thursday, February 21st:

Friday, February 22nd:
